The underwater world of Quebec’s aquatic forest remain largely a mystery to the general. Ever present but rarely seen, these underwater ecosystems are immensely diverse and often unique to each lake. Learning more about these ecosystems can help scientists in with efforts to mitigate invasive species of aquatic plants such as Eurasian Water Milfoil. Using artificial technology and aquatic drones, the Bishop’s University UBERG team is working to atomize the identification of these aquatic plants.
