The SLC site in Montréal has been open to the public previously, while access to a large section  of cavern only recently discovered has been restricted to select individuals including several members and professionals of the speleological society and academia, including the members of Bishop’s University ESG 362 class.

The SLC Project has been conducted by the students of Bishop’s University class ESG 362 (Advanced GIS), according to the initiative of Professor Bruno Courtemanche in conjunction with François Gelinas of Québec’s speleological society during the Winter 2018 academic semester.
